MI Amor

Filed under: Linedances — iaecente @ 9:23 pm

I remember the first time I held you in my arms.
Oh
my love
like an ocean of waves
that gently caress the shore

Mi amor
have I told you how much
I love you with all my heart?
Mi amor
I remember the first time I held you in my arms.
Oh
my love
like an ocean of waves
that gently caress the shore.
I love you means te quiero
je t’aime forever more and more.
The moment I touched you that’s when I knew what love was for.
I love you means te quiero
je t’aime

I’ll hold you in my heart and I’ll never let you go.
Oh
my love
me besaste como el mar
a la arena y el cielo al sol.
I love you means te quiero

je t’aime forever more and more. . . .
I never thought that I could feel this way
since I found myself in you.
Es mucho mas que un sueno
sienteme

I couldn’t help loving you.
I love you means te quiero

je t’aime forever more and more. . . .
Now
I never let you go.

Lemon Tree

I’m sitting here in a boring room
It’s just another rainy Sunday afternoon
I’m wasting my time, I got nothing to do
I’m hanging around, I’m waiting for you
But nothing ever happens — and I wonder
I’m driving around in my car
I’m driving too fast , I’m driving too far
I’d like to change my point of view
I feel so lonely, I’m waiting for you
But nothing ever happens — and I wonder
* I wonder how, I wonder why
Yesterday you told me ’bout the blue blue sky
And all that I can see is just a yellow lemon tree
I’m turning my head up and down
I’m turning, turning, turning, turing, turning around
And all that I can see is just another lemon tree
Da Da-la-da-la-de-la-da
Da-la-la-la-de-la-da
Da-de-le-la
I’m sitting here, I miss the power
I’d like to go out, taking a shower
But there is a heavy cloud inside my head
I feel so tired, put myself into bed
where nothing ever happens — and I wonder
Isolation is not good for me
Isolation, I don’t want to sit on a lemon tree
I’m stepping around in a desert of joy
Baby, anyhow I’ll get another toy
And everything will happen — and you’ll wonder

Filed under: Israel 以色列 — iaecente @ 12:36 am

Now, that you’re going to the foreignness (somewhere foreign)

Now, that you’re going somewhere foreign, I’ll become a bird of the south
To meet you quickly again
To give you the cross, that you created me to find
To give you rings

You were a cypress in the beloved garden
Who will present me the kiss I’m waiting for
I’m waiting by the beautiful coast for you to come again
Like a small, happy bird

My golden love, have healthy, the holy mary should be with you
And when the dove will come
I will have hung up a talisman on the open window
My heart like a star

A WOMAN ON THE BEACH

If you’re getting ready, in a cold night,
To go toward the harbor in the forgotten marina
You surely will see a woman draped in black,
In the howling wind, waiting for daybreak

Thus, till the end of night,
on the pier she is standing
Her black skirt blowing in the wind
Thus, she is waiting for the man she loves
That he may return tonight
Who was her lover,
who is the man that abandoned her?
Where did he sail, which way?

With the roaring waters,
in black clothing,
every night anew
She unravels the mystery of her heart

Thus, till the end of night,
on the pier she is standing
Her black skirt blowing in the wind
Thus, she is waiting for the man she loves
That he may return tonight

Filed under: Linedances, USA — iaecente @ 9:48 pm
Say, Has Anybody Seen My Sweet Gypsy Rose” is a 1973 song by the American pop music group Tony Orlando and Dawn. The song was written by Irwin Levine (lyrics) and L. Russell Brown (music) and was included on the group’s 1973 album, Dawn’s New Ragtime Follies.

Lyrics:

We were happy, at least I thought we were
Can somebody tell me what’s got into her?
A house, a home, a family and a man that loves her so
Who’d believe she’d leave us to join a burlesque show?

Oh say, has anybody seen my Sweet Gypsy Rose
Here’s her picture when she was my sweet Mary Jo
Now she’s got rings on her fingers and bells on her toes
Say has anybody seen my Sweet Gypsy Rose?

Oh I got, wind my Jo’s been dancin’ here in New Orleans
In this smoke-filled honky tonk they call The Land of Dreams
Now here she comes struttin’ in her birthday clothes
Say has anybody seen my Sweet Gypsy Rose?

Oh baby, baby won’t cha come home
We all miss you and every night we kiss your picture
Suppose one night the lights go dim and the crowd goes home
That’s the day you wake up and you find you’re all alone
So let’s say goodbye to Gypsy Rose, hello Mary Jo
Say has anybody seen my sweet gypsy rose?

So take those rings off your fingers, and bells off your toes
Say has anybody seen my
Now you know just what I mean by
Has anybody seen my
Sweet gypsy Rose?
